I was always asking my homeroom teacher to keep it behind her table, i.e., the safest spot in the whole school. Inside this bag I had a couple painting canvases and drawing papers, along with my brushes, specialized Koh-i-Noor graphite pencils, and a certain type of aquarelle recommended by my art school. Now that I think back, I’m very grateful for my parents investing into this for me. There truly is a difference between an HB and a 2B pencil. I picked up drawing classes mostly because my father recommended it, since he himself has been drawing in his youth. He never really stopped, as I could still find hand-drawn postcards in my grandma’s attic that he’d send my mother from abroad. They have always encouraged my creativity and inspired me to find entertainment through arts, including music.
