The Memorial Church is part of Grand-Pré National Historic Site and UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s also a Classified Federal Heritage Building. It was built in 1922 as part of the commemoration of the Expulsion of the Acadians in the late 1750s, largely regarded as a crime against humanity. I had the day off so took my bike up there to ride the Harvest Moon trail, the start of which runs by the church.
