As Easy as Reading Off a Log

Today marks 100 days of reading, but it was not a difficult challenge for me since I have been reading everyday for more than a year and over the last five years I have read 240 books. I thought I would end my 100 days of reading with another book review roundup. Privacy’s Defenders: My Thirty-Year Fight Against Digital Surveillance is a pretty great blend of the history of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Cindy Cohn’s personal story. It gave some context to things that were happening with encryption and internet policy as I was living through them, but not paying too much attention as long as it all worked as I needed it to. I’m not sure I agree with her opinions on Edward Snowden, but I came away knowing more about that story. It is a very accessible book given the complex topics and I read it in just a few days.
