Superhero Pickles

Everyone please meet Superhero Pickles. We've been mulling over getting a 3rd cat for a while now. Pixel passed away right after we moved, and for the last 3 years, we've been a 2 cat household. Bearcat (now 15) didn't mind this, but Beau (now 5) was clearly bored. He'd always try to get someone to play with him, bother Bearcat, and just generally seem lonely. In early June, as I was making a grocery run, I decided to stop in our local PetSmart. Always nice to see some kittens. One thing led to another, and my wife & daughter ran out to meet one of the cats, a little guy named Scotty. We ended up filling out an adoption application, and had it sent in. That email got swallowed up by spam filters. Scotty got adopted by someone else. But! The woman running the shelter was able to send us a bunch of pictures of other cats. She had about 2 dozen kittens at the time, and was happy to let us meet them all. So on Saturday, we took a drive. The shelter is about an hour north of us, and we…
