Day 10: Tokyo - Rest day 0 ▲ Breakfast and Travel Updates 2 hours ago · Food · hide · 0 comments Nau maiYesterday we had a day off in Tokyo. What a treat. Two full days to explore and enjoy Tokyo. I began my day with a bowl of Ramen from Ramen Kamo to Negi, just around the corner from my hotel. I had the super deluxe duck meat ramen which came with confit duck, dumplings, leeks, scallions, bamboo shoots, boiled egg, and wheat noodles. Jon and I ventured out to another Hard Off in the afternoon. I was proud of him for buying a four track tape recorder and committing to bringing it home to New Zealand. It looks like Annie and Gabe made a trip to Harajuku and I’m guessing it was a pilgrimage to get the best iced matcha. We went to Shimokitazawa in the evening and browsed a few of the excellent vintage clothing stores before visiting an Izakaya for some grilled skewers and a lot of yelling. Here is Jon checking out the traditional neighbourhood festival. Look at how he happily carries his new tape machine around with him. Here is Tristan getting the classic Shibuya Scramble Crossing… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
