Antoinette Bower as born on September 30, 1932, in Baden, Germany. Her mother was German, while her father was English. She was educated in England. Her family later moved to Canada. Following World War II, she was a field language supervisor and welfare counsellor with the United Nations' International Refugee Organization. In 1953, she moved to Canada where her family was, and took a job with the CBC. She interviewed people, wrote scripts, and worked in public affairs. She took up acting, and made her television debut in a CBC adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Telltale Heart" in 1958. In the late Fifties, she guest starred on the shows The Unforeseen, Hudson Bay, and Heritage.In the Sixties, Antoinette Bower was very busy, making multiple guest appearances on television shows.
