Board games are fun

My partner and I just started collecting board games last year. We're already pretty avid video gamers, him more than me, but between staring at a screen all day for work and school, we wanted another activity to share that is offline. We alreayd had a few card games but the more research we did, the deeper the rabbit hole went and now we have around 60 games in our collection. It's fun to play, it reminds me of when I was a kid and I got to entertain myself offline with nothing playing in the background except my thoughts and strategies. I enjoy that we can talk in between moves too and discuss a lot for other things. It's very interactive even if it's just for two players. The bonus for us is we have activities to do now when we have guests over at the house. More than having the TV playing in the background and talking anyway. Both of which we enjoy too but games always surprise people in my limited experience. Anyway, just wanted to share. It's a slippery slope of over consuming…
