Wednesday we took a trip to a day trip to Kamakura to spend time with some friends visiting from the US and Hong Kong. This is my second time to Kamakura this year and the seaside town continues to grow on me.We arrive at Kamakura station by 1000 changing to the ever-popular Enoden line. In my own experience the station workers are exceptionally rude—most likely caused by built up anger towards tourists ignorant to how to change lines in the station clogging up the exits. Each time I swipe my IC-card exiting to the Enoden line I think "its time to be rude."We take the cute train through the town to Hase station as we plan to visit Hasedera and the Giant Buddha of Kamakura. As my friends are having a late brunch, I drag my family to a nearby retro game store to look around. I decide to use my leftover birthday money to purchase a Gameboy micro I've been vaguely considering for a while.
