She was in her sixties when she decided to go to art school, and in the book she is told both implicitly and explicitly that she doesn’t belong. Women Who Run with Wolves is a collection of stories and texts that Clarissa Pinkola Estés pulls together to examine archetypes and associations with feminine perspectives. With these archetypes and the myths surrounding them, Estés starts to make an argument for the reconnection of creative instincts to ancient intuitions.
