The elaborate mural on the side of the four-story former brick tenement attracted my attention as it did several years ago. The choice in how to frame it is numerous. At 45mm in landscape orientation, my previous picture with the Fujifilm GFX 50S II mimics what a person sees. I zoomed in to the maximum 75mm equivalent with the Leica D-Lux 8 for today’s picture. By framing in portrait orientation, I was able to include most of the surrounding buildings and the foreground crosswalk. I think this version is compositionally stronger, especially in how it documents the mural and its context. In contrast, the previous version was more about the neighborhood. With 50MP of cropping power, I should be able to create a look similar to this version using the Fuji GFX image I shot several years ago.
