Review: Sandstorm – Dungeon of Death

Review by Sandre the Giant Released: 22nd May 2026 Brought together under the banner of the most classic of heavy metal sounds, Canadian/Swedish heavy metal heroes Sandstorm have returned with a brand new mini-album/EP called ‘Dungeon of Death’, and continue to make you rock like it is 1982 all over again. Following on from their 2021 EP ‘Desert Warrior’, we’re about to be taken right back to the glory days of the NWOBHM’s birthplace by this trio. ‘Dungeon of Death’ is out now through Dying Victims Productions, because who genuinely would do it better than DVP? First off, how could I not review a record with that album artwork? You just know its going to be terrible or utterly awesome, and thankfully for me, Sandstorm are utterly awesome.
