Life I had my toe x-rayed and nothing showed up. Another physio gave me a thorough working over and failed to pinpoint the problem, but said (in no uncertain terms) that I should stop running for at least two months. I probably needed to be told this but it’s definitely not what I wanted to hear. I’ve got another podiatry appointment lined up next month and hopefully they can figure something out. It’s NHS and I’m hoping that once I’m in the system they’re going to struggle to shake me off until they’ve fixed me (crucially, without fleecing me for sixty notes a time). With Σσ and the kids away, a knackered foot, and zero funds, I attempted to keep sane up in Higham’s Park by cycling much more than usual. I don’t know if it worked. I’m slightly concerned I might be on the brink of a mid-life crisis and our current circumstances (particularly the not running if I’m honest) aren’t helping.
