Hard and Fast Lessons in Development

Not even a week and we got them there updates and lessons. Biggest lesson that I am sure all programmers learn in programmer school—Test your app on multiple machines. Aka my 1.0.1 didn't even run on other Mac computers. Doh. That was hastily fixed this morning with 1.02. And then the idea brain got thrumming again and I added a built-in way to check for updates and a proper and customizable title bar. I think this instantly makes DDDS look better. Make sure you test at least one other machine kids. You can download 1.0.3 and then you should be able to update within the app itself. More importantly, this whole project got me thinking about my hyperfocus and patience with projects. Surely, if I took this slower, I would have not shipped a dead 1.0. If I took it slower, I would have had the title bar from the get-go, right? At some point you have to ship though.
