As a follow up to my previous post about the not-yet-ready Flickr iOS app, as of version 5.0.3 they have reverted the app to the previous code. There’s more info on their help page for the app “refresh”: We know the new app hasn’t met the bar you expect from Flickr. Since launch, we’ve heard your feedback about bugs, missing features, and rough edges, and we want to acknowledge that directly. Here is where we currently stand: iOS: We’re in the process of rolling back the iOS app to the previous version while we address these issues. You should see this reflected in the App Store shortly. Android users are stuck with the new version. (Confusingly, today, 28 July, that help page says it was updated “4 days ago”, and “UPDATE Jul 20, 2026”. The reverted version of the app is listed in the App Store on 23 July. It also still says the latest version of the iOS app is 5.0.2.) Very strange that this was released in such a state, especially with no communication to try and set expectations.…
