Jan: If I remember correctly in 2016, there were a few outdoor images of ski and landscapes of mine that Patagonia licensed for their story, The Real Alps: The Valle of the Haute-Durance Is In Danger. The story objected to the construction of the new huge power lines THT (Très Haute Tension) in the Hautes-Alpes. This project would require clear-cutting a forest for the power lines and damage the environment right at the entrance of the French national park “Les Ecrins”. Those power lines were built for exporting/selling nuclear electricity to neighboring countries. At this time in 2016, I was shooting imagery for the “Office de Tourisme” de Pays des Ecrins, and it was Arnaud Petit (one of my mentors in climbing photography and rope access) who…
