It's tempting to stick your head in the sand

Scared to look at your credit card balance? It's easy not to look. Worried about the growing list of tasks left undone? It's easy to find fun elsewhere. Brooding over a conversation that didn't go well? It's easy to avoid talking about it. But all that leaves you, and me, with is this – a sense of being stuck. It's harder to face reality, yes. But without the willingness to see things as they are, we become worse than ostriches.
