I think meditation is actually working for me 0 ▲ The Tinkering Dwarf 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments I've always lived with some level of anxiety even as a child. Not having the greatest childhood definitely contributed to that but it's been there for as long as I can remember. Throughout the years, I've tried therapy, medication, exercise, other things I probably don't remember anymore to manage it. This year I finally gave meditation a shot. I thought it was absolute bogus. It didn't really work at all the first few times I tried it but I've been at it for a while now. Not that consistent yet and I use a lot of guided ones but I'm working on adding it to my daily life more. I think it's working. It's very slow though, but I've had less and less panic attacks ever since I started it. Of course, during the days of low sleep and high stress, I still spiral, but there's more awareness about it. I don't feel totally immersed in it anymore. It's an odd feeling. I still do exercise to supplement it and that does wonders too. I just came to the realization that it actually works this… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
