Five From The Archive (no.15): Books about Trees

Apparently today is National Tree Day in Australia. Now, I’ve never been to Australia (or, indeed, to the Southern Hemisphere) but a post on five novels featuring trees on Brona’s Books inspired me to contribute my own. In her 5 Books series, she links to five previous reviews – which reminds me of my 5 From The Archive series that I haven’t done in maybe eight years. Let’s resurrect the badge… I was surprised by how many books had trees in the title that weren’t really about trees – I had to disregard much-loved titles like The Nutmeg Tree by Margery Sharp, The Path Through The Trees by Christopher Milne, The Bird in the Tree by Elizabeth Goudge etc. But I found five excellent books about trees, and here’s links to my original review and something I thought about them. 1.
