My biggest dream? Easy. It was about Godzilla. Not like a movie premiere or anything. There was just an actual, 400-foot Godzilla hanging out in the parking lot of my apartment complex. Right by the dumpster. The weird thing wasn’t even the giant monster. It was that nobody cared. My neighbor was out there washing his Honda Civic. A lady was walking her Chihuahua and getting annoyed. Not because of the radioactive breath, but because Godzilla was taking up too many spots and she had to circle the lot instead of cutting straight through. Meanwhile, my heart is pounding in my throat. I’m standing on my balcony, hyperventilating, thinking, “Why is no one running?! Shouldn’t we be screaming? Is there an alarm? Is this just a Tuesday thing now? Why am I the only person here who recognizes that we are about to die?!” Godzilla looked down on me – literally, but also with huge ‘you’re a disappointment’ energy – pointed one enormous claw right at me, and I had that awful dream realization that…
