I’m sitting at Tucson International Airport awaiting my flight to Denver. From there I will connect to a flight to Syracuse, arriving in the Salt City right before midnight. It’ll only be 21:00 MST, so it’s all manageable. Earl is staying home and holding down the fort with Truman, the dogs, and the guys. I’m traveling back east to attend the memorial services for one of my best friends, who passed away earlier this month. I’m staying a few days to catch up with whatever family I can and to visit my mother’s grave site, where her stone was placed a couple of months ago. I’ll probably also visit my dad’s grave site. I’m excited about travel, because traveling is always an adventure, but my mood is a bit on the melancholy side. I’m sure I’ll find the happy once I see folks that I haven’t seen in a long while.
