It’s been too long since I’ve flown commercial and even much longer since I’ve flown in First Class. I am enjoying the experience on this B737-800. It seems like this is a new version of United’s First Class experience. The seat has a divider between me and my neighbor. And speaking of neighbors, less than half of First Class is populated, including the other seat in my half of the row. I’ll take it. The heated nuts and a glass of sparkling wine was enjoyable shortly after we reached cruising altitude. I enjoyed my supper, though the beef was a little tough. I don’t expect things to be steakhouse perfect in the air and it met my expectations. As we make our way from Denver to Syracuse we are flying into the darkness. The sun has set wherever we are… quick check, we’re over eastern Iowa as I type this. Things are quiet, the ride has been mostly smooth, and the flight attendants up front are super professional and friendly. Five stars across the board for them. Oh, and as a Mileage Plus…
