Sunday Asides #105 The first Avengers: Doomsday trailer dropped earlier this week, and the Marvel fandom reaction has ranged from mixed to terrible. I'm not excited about it mainly because Marvel movies have been on a steady decline over the last five years, but it could also be because I'm 45 and just not that into all this Marvel shit anymore. (Granted, X-Men '97 is still really damn good, even though that show's been getting mixed reviews too.) Nerds are never satisfied. After seeing a trailer earlier this week for the UK's version of Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken!, I wondered if The Chicken Connoisseur could possibly make a cameo, so I did a little YouTube digging. Turns out he's still doing chicken shop reviews! I went back and watched his first video from 10 years ago (!), and it feels fresher than most influencer videos I've seen today.
