Dave/D is a very talented indie developer who has made a lot of things I've enjoyed, most notably Mixolumia, a fantastic falling-block puzzle game. You should check it out! You should also check out their latest video, an extremely basic Pico-8 tutorial which assumes that you have absolutely zero coding skill: There are a pretty big number of "total beginner" game creativity tools out there - I'd consider Twine one, and Bitsy. Pico-8 probably seems a little intimidating for someone who has literally no preexisting experience in the area, since it is a "fantasy console" and you can only make content for it by actually coding. But it is penetrable by the total-newbie mind, and Dave does break it down in a very friendly way. They also make use of a pretty massive cheat-sheet card which contains basically every command you could need to use while working with the Pico-8 toolset.
