52 Ancestors: Week 29, Johann and Margaretha (Lambert) Issinghoff

Orginal post: 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks The earliest entries in Ochtrup's church book date to 1667. Yesterday 359 years ago, the baptism of Berndt, son of Jo[h]an[n] Ißinghoff and Marg[aretha] Lambert is recorded. I would be baptized at this same site (the church was completely rebuilt in 1873) nearly 333 years later. His baptismal entry states he was baptized "D[omi]nica 7 post Trinit[atis]," or the 7th Sunday after Trinity Sunday.1 This corresponds to 24 July 1667 in the Gregorian calendar which was adopted by the Prince-Bishopric of Münster in 1583. The transcribed and indexed church book from 1987-1988 records the date as 21 July 1667 which corresponds to the Julian calendar.2 Anton Wegener's comprehensive history of Ochtrup makes the following entry for the Issinghoff farm.3 Gegenüber der Wirtschaft Lohlammet-Stegemann lag früher hart rechts der Straße nach Bentheim die Curie Hizincehove.
