Clustering at Bannerdown

An altogether different harvest day, starting with being picked up by Chris in Gloucester. Today’s event was organised only recently and I already had the car booked in for a repair. But Chris very kindly picked me up from the garage and we headed over to Bannerdown Common near Bath. In addition to the normal harvest, we were holding an event for the South Cotswold farm cluster where the members could see how the process works and ask questions. They were due to show later in the morning so we had a bit of time to set up and start. I’ve harvested private land very near here before but never the common itself. But I do remember wild carrot from the other field which was also in great abundance here. But there was also a good variety of other seed, including Salad Burnett and cowslip and yellow rattle.
