Building plugins and extensions for your application is a slippery slope that can easily lead to feature creep (looking at you, Notion). So instead of trying to stuff everything into one app, lately I’ve found myself preferring specific apps for specific needs. For example, I’m trying to get into the habit of keeping daily notes, but the way they’re implemented always feels a little off - whether it’s in Obsidian or Craft. Journaling apps come closer, and I’ve used them before, but I always find myself craving something even simpler. So I decided to kill two birds with one stone (PSA: no birds were harmed during this experiment): I gave Glaze, an app from Raycast, a try. I built my first vibe-coded app. I called it Daymark. After almost two days of talking to AI, I now have a working app - and it looks almost decent.
