Weeknotes: July 18-24, 2026

Win of the week: finally sawed off the top of the apple espaliers that had grown up over the past couple years (should have done it a month ago but so it goes) Looking forward to: blueberry picking sometime soon Stuff I did: 0 hours consulting — both my meetings got cancelled 3 hours business development received a binding tax ruling from the state that my outreach work is not, in fact, advertising for tax purposes 🦾 got my primary ballot and started doing research 🗳️ wish we had ranked-choice voting for primaries at least if you live in Washington State you should vote in the primary because whoever gets elected to the State Supreme Court is probably going to rule on the Millionaire Tax appeal! I usually research candidates by looking at The Stranger and The Urbanist‘s endorsements first… if they’re the same that’s probably good enough, but they endorsed several different candidates this time — and some of The Stranger’s endorsements… 👀 wtf, The Stranger endorsed 7-term establishment…
