Trash should be illegal

I think trash should be illegal, and I mean, generating trash. Or at least that there's a limit to weight per month/week whatever. This is hard to enforce, but this is just an idea in my mind. Trash should be illegal so that people have to think what to acquire, knowing that they will not be able to put it in the trash later and things will accumulate. This would solve so many issues for us (though there would be others) in my hypothetical world. Everything is disposable, and its not going well.
