Reply to Don't Take the Black Pill - Andrew Kelley | SSW 2026 Such a nice, hopeful talk in this video. I've noticed I've gotten more and more and more jaded over time. The hypetech booms really do not help, and you know exactly which one I'm talking about at this point in time. But it touched much more things I've noticed wrong in our industry. And it has gotten me jaded, going "why do we care anyway" at times. I've said "computers/tech/internet was a mistake" many many times. Half joking. He basically called me out for being too jaded.. And that was such nice thing to hear. Since I had been thinking about it myself for long time too. My first reaction to many many things is just a jaded tired response.. So someone I sort of look up to essentially telling me to stop that is something I sorely needed. The key point of the video was very hopeful to me: We have power to make better stuff. So let's keep doing that. I know I will, especially knowing that others like me exist. Ending this…
