When she was 19, all the major record labels wanted to sign her. After the contract was signed, Laleh was offered to work with some of the greatest producers in Sweden. She replied: "I will do everything on my own." And she did, and won three Grammy awards. New Artist of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Producer of the Year, which no other woman had previously won a Swedish Grammy for. When the interviewer asks where that confidence and self-assurance comes from, Laleh explains that she was a very curious child, asking questions about everything all the time, and her parents would often answer by saying: "I'm not sure. What do you think?" What a great way to nourish curiosity, imagination, and independence. An invitation to explore and see things from different perspectives instead of just being served an answer.
