The next couple of days? A blur. An emotional roller coaster. The day after we arrived, we took a short trip to a nearby waterfall. A short trip across the state line to Pennsylvania. It was nice to clear our minds for a minute and find something (even if small) good from this trip. So, we pulled out of the offer that we made on the house due to inspection findings. We looked at multiple other houses. We ended up making an offer on a house that would probably be worth a million or more if it were in Portland. Plus, it was in a national historic district. We LOVED the house so much, we made an offer on the day we were flying out of Cleveland back to Portland. While in the airport, we discussed the house. We ultimately decided to talk to our realtor and tell him we wanted to pass on that house, too, since they hadn’t yet responded. What was the catch with that one? The area it was in.
