A Farewell to Ya Mas 0 ▲ Oh, The Glamourous Life! 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments Dear Constant Reader, Occasionally we’ve performed at Ya Mas, a Greek restaurant in a mall in New Hampshire, which was internet-famous for their over-the-top holiday decor. We learned just the other day that, after celebrating their sixth anniversary last month, they closed. I’ll miss them. I understand why they chose to close and I’m very sorry we couldn’t have had one last meal there. Performing there was a logistical challenge, but we made it work and had fun, while clustered behind the wine fridges in our makeshift dressing room and trying to avoid taking out a chandelier with a large prop or headdress and mostly succeeding… The staff was quite nice to us and the food was fantastic! I spent some time in Greece in my grad school days and brought home a deep love of the cuisine. You’re probably not surprised that I am quite particular in what I consider worthwhile Greek food.
