My focus would shift from one pattern to another, but my mind would wander. There was nothing I needed to do, so this was my exact (yet never defined) goal: nothing. I found that state again. I am writing a draft of this text sitting in the beautiful park of Skawina. All I have to do is wait for my wife to finish her regular injections. As a boy, nothingness was free. Now it requires a reason to stop. I am without any goal, there is nothing I should achieve. PTO allowed me to leave the laptop behind, and the phone stays in the bag, uninterrupted. I write this with a pen, on paper, on a whim. I left everything behind, and nothing occupies my mind: not work, not family, not internet.
