Sponsor me to walk to Canterbury

As if cycling 240 km each way from London to Herefordshire and back again wasn’t enough, in a week and a half’s time I’ll be walking with a few others from London to Canterbury. The planned route That’s 94 km or 58 miles, in under 48 hours, from Southwark Cathedral to Canterbury Cathedral. It’s not exactly the original pilgrimage route – we’re avoiding the A2 as much as possible, for one thing – and there will be more Tescos Express en route than a mediaeval monarch could have imagined, but it’s similar. We’re hoping to raise money for the local swimming club, which has suffered from increasing costs and from the temporary closure of the local pool earlier in the year.
