I’m close enough to tech to understand how/why software has been enshittified, but I’ve long wondered why consumer brands seem to be getting worse. Feels like it’s commonly a slow burn and almost imperceptible over time, but eventually I’m like “why does this brand that used to be good (or at least fine) suck now?”.
