#4094: Combat Ready Roboto

COMBAT READY ROBOTO MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE (MATTEL) Back in May, two weeks before the Masters of the Universe movie hit theaters, I looked at the Mekaneck figure from its tie-in line and joked about how the film was already being labeled a “bomb” despite, you know, not being out yet. Well, came out and…I mean, yeah, it didn’t do great at the box office. It does sort of feel like it’s one of those “repeat it enough times and it becomes the truth” sort of deals, if I’m honest, where the discussion of it “bombing” well in advance of its actual release did sort of drive some people away, but what do I know. Well, I know that despite it’s box office performance, they’ve already greenlit a sequel. I also know that I saw the movie in the theatre and immensely enjoyed it, having pretty much no notes.
