I have no idea why it took me this long to realize that doing a hybrid DJ-acoustic set was the thing to do. I just had it in my mind that it was an either-or situation, but it’s not. It’s unique. It’s something that other people can’t necessarily do professionally. And I can. It also takes the heat off learning three hours’ worth of songs. Two hours is infinitely easier than three. One hour is about the same as two, really. But three is a mother. And the last hour usually gets super quiet, so if I can just DJ that, it sounds like a dream. I’ve had great feedback about it on social media. I just can’t believe I wasn’t thinking about this before. It’s ridiculous. It’s also giving people what they want, and it’s making me super relaxed about the show Friday. Not that I couldn’t have done it. But man, why not make it easy when you have the opportunity? So I figure it’ll be about one-third DJing and two-thirds live music. I also put it out there for people to challenge me with requests. If…
