Motion Blur, Chelsea Market 0 ▲ atmtx photo blog 2 hours ago · Life · hide · 0 comments Motion Blur, Chelsea Market – New York, New York This wasn’t my first visit to Chelsea Market, though it was my wife’s first. I was here in 2022 and blogged about it using a completely different camera. Back then, I was deeply into Fujifilm, and I brought the X100V and the GFX 50S II. I have a similar scene that I shot with the cropped medium-format GFX 50S II. Do you notice a difference in image quality? Sure, it’s there, but not very visible on these smaller web sizes. Unlike my previous GFX picture, I opted to create a motion blur, using a slow 1/8s shutter speed. I visited on a Saturday, when it was considerably more crowded. I often use motion blur as an artistic effect and to soften details in crowded areas. You can tell the old architecture adds nice character that sets this place apart from a typical suburban mall. Shooting in a regular mall is quite boring, though I’ve done it before. The details matter, and modern architecture built to a budget doesn’t compare. Blog readers,… No comments yet.
