The bliss of Graphene

Amidst all this travel, I finally got some time to install GrapheneOS on the refurbished Pixel 8 Pro that I bought last month. Boy, that was the easiest OS install I’ve done in a while. Barely took my 10 minutes from start to finish. And having spent a few weeks with GrapheneOS as my primary driver. It’s nothing short of amazing! I love that it’s so vanilla! My main profile has apps mostly installed via Obtainium and F-Droid. For the needy apps, I installed a user profile specifically with Play Store and services. This profile is mostly turned off. And I love that each app is sandboxed by default! Should have made this transition way before! I don’t quite need all the ‘privacy’ features that GrapheneOS touts but it’s remarkable that they’ve made it so freaking simple for anybody to install this on their phones. 🔗
