Friday Night Lights holds up

Watching a 2005 series, like Friday Night Lights, means you encounter shaky camera aesthetic, grainy film quality, characters using blocky mobile phones, long unheard of music, and more. It’s true that these things date it. But it’s also true that there is heart which remains timeless, with characters, however flawed they may be, who you can root for. I value shows like this – more so than “trending” shows like House of Dragons.
