Another sunny, breezy day, RW here cutting the hedges. Scything in progress, and hedge trimmed Oven glass door glueing seems to have worked – although we’ve not used the oven yet. Pottered around outside for a couple of hours in the afternoon, turning one of the many old dustbins into a new compost bin, hopefully mouse and rat proof. Drilled 5mm holes around the sides (ventilation) and in the base (drainage), and added some “starter worms” from the green bin, which had had composting leaves, some of which I dug into the coffin planter and then upended the rest on the herb bed. New compost bin I also finished clearing the space where the old compost bin had been – I’m going to use it to reverse into on the ride on mower – and rescued a baby oak that was emerging beside of one of the paving… No comments yet.
