Nothing But a Sister

I’m down to just five habits now. Today ends the 100 days of connecting with my sister. Most days this amounted to sending her a video to update her on my life and she would send a text reply of what was going on with her. The videos and texts started out pretty short, but by the end the videos crept up to the four minute mark and her texts went on for pages. This habit was sort of a last minute idea (spawned form the fact that Kira calls her sister every day) and it ended up being something special. Laura and I probably haven’t communicated this much in our adult life (as least not this regularly) and we both learned things about each other. A fun side effect is that, much like the blog, it created this 100 day time capsule of our life. I am working on putting all of the texts and videos into a format that can be saved a little easier – Exporting a text chain is is harder than it should be.
