TT 235: Bus frequency of frequencies and the weekend cliff

Last week I graphed the frequency of Melbourne bus routes at midday weekdays, aided by data from Adam Bain's Frequency Finder. Matching the common reputation of Melbourne buses, this graph showed that just 7 out of over 350 routes ran every 10 minutes or better while a further 18 ran every 15 minutes. More ran every 20 minutes but the vast majority were still every 30 or 40 minutes. However that data didn't tell us whether weekday peak service is much better than off-peak. Or how weekends fare. Fortunately Adam has since added peak and weekend charts to his item on bus route numbers. So I'm back to look at what these tell us about the frequency of bus frequencies at these times.
