X-Factor was, from the start, a plan to re-unite the original five X-Men in a new book, with the notable caveat that one of those five, Jean Grey, was very much dead at the time. The original plan was for Dazzler to join as the group’s fifth member, which actually made it far enough along that her joining a team with Beast was referenced at the end of their shared miniseries.…
