29-06-26 A couple of days later and I decided to do a favourite route; Longniddry to Gullane off the NB train. Partly because nothing else called out for attention, partly because there might be a few DGFs lurking about the dunes near the golf course between Aberlady and Gullane. First obvious mistake was the wind. Why was mother nature blowing so hard and spoiling it for those who would have preferred less; the butterflies, the birds, the photographers. Oh well. At least the kite surfers were having fun. There were a couple of admirals and painted ladies along the coastal trails but neither their condition (faded and a bit past it) nor my photos (faded and a bit past it), were worth posting here.silver Yyellow shellI likely stopped at Margiotta's and picked up a sandwich for later. I swithered about Postman's Walk or along the front to the pedestrian bridge at Aberlady. I decided on the former although I didn't have high hopes for holly blues as it was early for second brood chaps.…
