Summer Project: Garage Upgrade

At this point it’s been a little over a year since we moved into our new house, and we’ve gotten settled quite nicely. All of the big things we needed to get done have been dealt with so now it’s time to starting working on all the fun stuff that we want to get done.Starting with the one big project for this summer which is upgrading our garage which right now looks something like this (minus a whole lot of junk that’s been cleared out since I took this photo):The plan is to upgrade this space to a home gym/workshop area. Our car is on it’s last legs and we have no plans of getting a new one anytime soon, so we’re more than happy to not have space in our garage for a car. So I’m going to be building up a new floor and getting some proper walls set up over the next few weeks.We’ve been spending a lot of time clearing out all the junk that had been piling up in the garage over the last year or so, but now we’re finally done with that and can start doing some actual work.
