Week notes 2026-29

My wife went out of town Thursday so the back half of the week was devoted to Me Time stuff: video games podcasting building the LEGO DeLorean Reading Biking Baseball game Watched Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (it's the 40th anniversary this year!) Probably other things I'm not thinking of. The weather has turned out a lot nicer this week, although we are dealing with smoke—wildfires from both Northern Quebec & Northwestern Ontario. Most exciting this week was finding an Akaso Brave 7 LE on Facebook Marketplace; I decided on a whim that an action camera would be cool for mounting to my Bike. The package I bought, which includes necessary mounts1, was originally close to $230 on Amazon. Glad I didn't go with a cheap knock-off model! I played a lot of Star Wars Outlaws and made a lot of progress; I'm near the end of the game, so I'm putting a pause for a bit so that I don't get bored of it2.
