Nolan's Odyssey

Just saw it. Loved it. Possibly a masterpiece, certainly a very good film. It takes some well-made liberties with the original, and I enjoyed most of them, though I found the island of giants in silver armor confusing. That could've been cut altogether. Like all Nolan stories, it hops around in time, using the Isle of the Lotus Eaters as an anchor... and it totally works. I've got to quit watching YouTube, because all the things people have been angry about were just absolutely fine. It's a 3 hour movie that doesn't make you look at your watch. That's a feat, especially today. Go see it! Don't let American cinema deteriorate into dumb movies on Netflix (I'm looking at you, The Rip), designed for people who aren't really paying attention. We already have something to watch while folding laundry. It's called baseball.
