Why?

I found grumpywelshman this week, via https://bubbles.town – a good place to go to read somewhat interesting things. His stuff is very funny, an acidic takedown of the internet as we find it, the side hustle EARN $10,000 A WEEK WITH THIS FREE METHOD (costs $499), the algo, all of that. I recommend it all, good stuff, worth subscribing to. This piece – we are all rankers now: or why the internet has turned to shit – has some stuff in it which made me think a bit more about a thought at the back of my mind. Why bother? Why write this thing – which, granted, I only do infrequently? Why do any mook drawings? Why do any of this when literally the entire world is somewhere else, deep in the AlgoGram or AlgoTube or AlgoMedium or AlgoSubStack (an interesting conversation with Mrs E the other day about how I just can’t get on board with SubStack, it’s gonna go all Medium, and why not just write your own shit on your own blog, etc) – but the point is, it’s pretty fucking empty out here.
