I miss spending time in France during the summer. However, I'm afraid the summers I remember are gone forever because, as you may know, global heating has hit Western Europe and France harder than many other places. Also, each time I return home, it feels less and less like home. It makes sense; in November, I will have left for 15 years.One thing remains timeless, though: I truly feel "back home" when I'm in the medieval villages of the French Southwest, especially those in Périgord and Quercy. It's no coincidence that many of them are ranked among the most beautiful villages in France.Today, here are a few pictures from my archives showing Belvès in the Dordogne department.
